I have heard very good things about this show (though admittedly my source is a very close friend of Kamau Bell,) she described it as Daily Show-esque (which coming from my friend Jen is high praise, if you’re unfamiliar with Kamau you might not get how his take on the Daily show would be unique rather than a copy.) But see it! She caught a taping when she was visiting from France a few weeks ago and the taping too seemed like a really fun event (though again, it may help if you are a guest of the host.)
…I should probably admit that I am now sitting here red faced embarrassed to ever talk to Kamau Bell again, because I have been calling him ‘Kamal’ for years…no idea it was ‘Kamau’ until I saw this headline!
Sadly the ratings as such lead me to believe this will be the final taping of the show forever. I can’t see it being picked back up.
He just doesn’t have a TV personality. It was a cool experiment.
