I found the article Resenting Hipsters to be a very interesting essay about the hollowness of the work ethic.

Not necessarily new posts, but last night while tweeting about the showdown in Texas, a couple of links were shared about how intended pregnancy and motherhood can strengthen one’s pro-choice beliefs. They are both great reads!

I recently found Athena Andreadis’ blog here. It’s excellent! I’ve also read the book of short stories she edited titled ‘The Other Half of the Sky’, and strongly recommend it as well.

The nasty trashing of Rachel Jeantel (prosecution witness in Zimmerman murder trial) has been openly racist, sexist, fatophobic and in general, utterly infuriating.

Some writers who have nailed it:

    Support #RachelJeantel!

(Trigger warnings for the stuff I mentioned above, including the murder of Trayvon Martin, which is highly disturbing all by itself)
